Namaste, mitron! It's Hardik Trehan, back with another spicy blog post. As you all know, I've been juggling the demands of my music career and the love of my family. It's a classic tale of 'Bollywood meets Bhangra' - a rollercoaster ride that would make even the most seasoned Bollywood director envious.
My family is the most important thing in the world to me. I love spending time with my Wife, who always makes sure I'm well-fed with her famous Special Chicken Recipe and Sarson da Saag. But sometimes, I feel like my career is taking a backseat to all the family drama. Just last week, I had to skip a major Jamming session because one of my best friend was getting married. 'Yaar, how can I miss my best friend's shaadi?'
It's a constant struggle, dosto. One minute, I'm riding high on the success of my latest Punjabi hit 'Gehne'. The next, I'm being pulled in a dozen different directions by my family, who want me to attend this function, that wedding, or some other random event. I mean, don't they understand that I have a career to build? I'm not just some local Bhangra singer anymore - I'm a rising star in the Punjabi music industry, with dreams of conquering Bollywood too!
But then, I look at my Mom's face, beaming with pride every time I perform a song, and I realize that I wouldn't trade this for the world. Or when my Daughter hugs me watching me my song, and suddenly, all the stress of my career melts away. It's in these moments that I truly understand the value of family, and how they've been the backbone of my success all along.
So, I guess you could say I'm married to both - my family and my profession. It's a delicate balance, like walking a tightrope while juggling a dozen plates. But you know what they say, 'Jahan Family, wahan Swarg' (Where there is family, there is heaven). And I wouldn't have it any other way, yaar.
On that note, let me share some recommendations for my fellow Punjabi music lovers out there. If you're in the mood for some foot-tapping Bhangra, check out my single 'Sadi Gal Ban Ni' . And for those of you who love a good Bollywood masala flick, I highly recommend the recent release 'Saiyaara', starring Ahaan Pandey. Trust me, it's a total paisa vasool movie, with some killer songs that will have you grooving in your seat.
All right, my dear Punjabi dosto, I better get going. Shagun is calling, and you know how she gets when I'm late for dinner. Sarson da saag and makki di roti are waiting, and I can already smell the aroma from here. Catch you all later, and remember - family first, music second. Or is it the other way around? Ah, the eternal dilemma of a Punjabi pop star! Chal, bye bye, mitron!
